释义 | nautae caupones stabularii nautae caupones stabularii an abbreviated form of part of the prae- tor's edict of the Roman law, which has been accepted as the law of Scotland and provides for the STRICT LIABILITy of the COMMON CARRIER of goods, the stable-keeper and the innkeeper. The position of the common carrier of goods has been altered by statute; the position of the innkeeper has been altered by the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956. Liability is still strict, but it can be severely limited by displaying a notice under the schedule to the Act. The stable-keeper's liability remains in full force. |
