An officer of a court (usually a county court) concerned with the service of the court’s processes and the enforcement of its orders, especially warrants of execution authorizing the seizure of the goods of a debtor. The term is often loosely applied to a High Court Enforcement Officer. 2. A judicial official in Guernsey (Royal Court Bailiff). |
