Formerly, the offence of using money obtained from prostitution for one’s livelihood or upkeep. Under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (s 52–53) it has been replaced by a number of other offences that involve causing, inciting, or controlling prostitution for gain; the new offences focus on the exploitation of prostitutes, rather than the concept of “immorality”. |
