Single European Act
The legislation passed in 1986 in the European Community (in force from 1 July 1987) that committed all member states to an integrated method of trading with no frontiers between countries by 31 December 1992. It was the first Act to amend the principles of the then Treaty of Rome. The main creation of the Single European Act is the Single Market for trading in goods and services within the EU. |
