释义 | insider dealing insider dealing the making use of price-sensitive information that is unavailable to investors at large to the extent of dealing in company securities with the object of making a profit or avoiding a loss. Under the Criminal Justice Act 1993, persons who are or have been con- nected with a company (e.g. directors, senior employees, profession- al advisers, etc) are prohibited from engaging in such dealings on or, in certain circumstances, off the Stock Exchange if they acquired the information by virtue of their connection and in confidence. |
