单词 | last opportunity rule |
释义 | last opportunity rule last opportunity rule a rule that makes the person who had the last opportunity to avoid an accident liable for it. At one time it was very important when a finding of contributory negligence meant that a party failed in his action but is less so now. Indeed, it has been sug- gested that there is no place for it: see Boy Andrew v. St Rognvald 1974 SC (HL) 70; Rouse v. Squires [1973] QB 889. |
