He is the author of the Scottish Contemporary Judicial Dictionary, the Law of Restitution in Scotland, and a number of books on compensation law. He is the book review editor of the Scots Law Times, a regional editor of the Restitution Law Review, and editor of the Reparation Bulletin. He's edited a sports law book and written on skiing and the law, and among his profes- sional interests is adjudication for the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football Association. He's mar- ried with one child and in his spare time he plays the violin very badly.
