单词 | disclosed principal |
释义 | disclosed principal disclosed principal a principal whose identity is revealed to the per- son with whom his agent is contracting. Rules governing the per- sonal liability of an agent in relation to contracts he enters into with third parties differ according to whether the principal was disclosed at the time of contracting. If the principal was so disclosed, direct contractual relations are established between the principal and the third party; this is not the case if the principal is not disclosed. See Keighly, Maxted & Co. v. Durant [1901] AC 240. See also AGENCY. |
