youth rehabilitation order A community sentence that may be imposed on an offender aged 18 or under. It imposes one or more specified requirements, which may include an activity requirement, a curfew requirement, an exclusion requirement, a mental health treatment requirement, an unpaid work requirement, a supervision requirement, a drug treatment requirement, a residence requirement, a programme requirement, a prohibited activity requirement, or an attendance centre requirement. Under the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 youth rehabilitation orders replaced the previous system of youth community orders. See also community order. |
