consumer-credit register The register kept by the Competition and Markets Authority, as required by the Consumer Credit Act 1974, relating to the licensing or carrying on of consumer-credit businesses or consumer-hire businesses. The register contains particulars of undetermined applications, licences that are in force or have at any time been suspended or revoked, and decisions given under the Act and any appeal from them. The public is entitled to inspect the register on payment of a fee. |
