European Public Prosecutor (EPPO) As proposed by the European Commission in 2000, an independent body with authority to investigate and prosecute fraud and other crimes affecting the financial interests of the EU. The Lisbon Treaty includes an article allowing for the establishment of such a prosecutor. |
