mental health treatment requirement
A requirement that may be imposed by a sentencing court as part of a community order or a suspended sentence order under the Criminal Justice Act 2003 or as part of a youth rehabilitation order under the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008. An offender who is not insane but who is held to be suffering from a treatable mental health problem may be required to undergo appropriate treatment. Such a requirement can only be imposed with the consent of the offender. |
