释义	judge advocate A barrister or solicitor appointed to preside in Court Martial proceedings and who is responsible for advising the court on questions of law. He or she is appointed by the Lord Chancellor. At the conclusion of the evidence the judge advocate sums up the case to the members of the court. He has no vote on the finding but does vote on sentence.
