misfeasance summons
An application, under section 212 of the Insolvency Act 1986, to the court by a creditor, contributory, liquidator, or the official receiver during the course of winding up a company. The court is asked to examine the conduct of company officers and others who are suspected of a breach of a fiduciary or other duty towards the company and it can order them to make restitution to the company.
