单词 | most favoured nation treatment |
释义 | most favoured nation treatment A most favoured nation clause (MFN clause) is a clause in a bilateral investment treaty that prohibits the host state from treating an investor from the other signatory state less favourably than any other foreign investor or a domestic investor. As a consequence, the investor may be able to take advantage of more favourable provisions found in bilateral treaties between the host state and other states (Asian Agricultural Products Ltd v Sri Lanka ICSID Case No ARB/87/3 (1990)). |
