transfer pricing The scheme of pricing goods or services that pass from one division of a company to another, or from one company to another company in the same group. Transfer pricing has been used to move profits from one jurisdiction to another to minimize tax on profits. However, the Taxation (International and Other Provisions) Act 2010 pt 4 has the effect that tax is charged on profits computed by reference to prices that would be paid by an unconnected third party, irrespective of the price actually charged. These provisions apply to large companies and companies in large company groups. |
