单词 Civil Procedure Rules
释义

Civil Procedure Rules
(CPR) A procedural code that was enacted in 1998 and revoked the Rules of the Supreme Court with effect from 26 April 1999. The Rules, a result of the reforms proposed by Lord Woolf’s Access to Justice (Final Report) 1996, govern proceedings in the civil cases of the Court of Appeal (Civil Division), the High Court, and the county courts. The CPR is supplemented by Practice Directions and pre-action protocols. The Rules have no application in certain areas, including the Mental Health Act 1983 Part IV, and have limited application to family proceedings.
