Crimes that involve the use or threat of physical force against another person. The main offences against the person are unlawful homicide, infanticide, illegal abortion, causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving, and causing death by careless driving when under the influence of drink or drugs (fatal offences against the person); and torture, rape, wounding, causing or inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault, aggravated assault, battery, kidnapping, and sexual offences (nonfatal offences against the person).
