释义 |
corruption of public morals Conduct “destructive of the [moral] fabric of society”. It is uncertain if such acts are crimes, although those who published “directories” of prostitutes or magazine advertisements encouraging readers to meet the advertisers for homosexual purposes have been found guilty of conspiring to corrupt public morals. Cases: Shaw v DPP [1962] AC 220 (HL); Knuller Ltd v DPP [1973] AC 435 (HL). See also conspiracy; contra bonos mores. |
