释义	presentment n. The act of presenting a bill of exchange to the person upon whom it is drawn for his acceptance or for payment. When a bill is payable after sight, presentment for acceptance is necessary in order to fix its maturity. Bills must normally be presented for payment; otherwise the drawer and endorsers are discharged. There are rules as to the time and place of presentment.
