Queen’s Proctor
A solicitor who, under the direction of the Attorney General, gives legal advice to the courts on difficult or disputed legal problems involving divorce and who intervenes, generally to prevent a divorce from being made final, in cases in which not all the material facts were before the court earlier. The office of Queen’s Proctor is held by the Treasury Solicitor. |
