Rough Sleeping Mental Health Support A key part of the government’s Rough Sleeping Strategy, which was published in 2018 and commits to halving rough sleeping by 2022 and ending it by 2027. Under the strategy, all areas are required to have a mechanism in place to ensure that their mental health services can support rough sleepers; this is so whether or not they receive funding for new specialist mental health provision. Pilot schemes for the programme were introduced in 2019. See Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. |
