(sale on approval) The delivery of goods to a person on terms that allow him to keep the goods for a time before he decides whether or not to buy them. Unless otherwise agreed, such a person becomes the owner if he signifies his approval of the goods or carries out any other act adopting the transaction. He will also become the owner if he retains the goods beyond the time fixed for their return, or, if no time has been fixed, beyond a reasonable time. |
