释义	承按人 A person who lends money to another where the loan is secured by taking a mortgage over the borrower’s property. It includes any person claiming under a mortgagee: Conveyancing and Property Ordinance (Cap 219) s 2. This could extend to a sub-mortgagee or transferee of the mortgagee: Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong, Vol 16, 2001 Reissue, Land [230.0724] note 1. On default by the mortgagor, the mortgagee has certain rights over the mortgaged property, including taking possession, appointing a receiver, selling the property to recover costs and the amount owing under the mortgage, and foreclosure.
