The judge or officer of the court who determines the amount of costs payable in a detailed assessment of costs. The costs officer may be a costs judge (an official of the Senior Courts, formerly known as a taxing master), a district judge, or an authorized officer of a county court, a district registry, the Principal Registry of the Family Division, or the Senior Courts Costs Office. |
