Individual Savings Account
(ISA) A type of savings account on which no tax is payable. A taxpayer can invest under the ISA scheme up to a limit specified each year. No tax is payable on any of the income from ISA savings and investments, including dividends, interest, and bonuses, and no capital gains tax is payable on gains arising on ISA investments. Money can be withdrawn at any time without losing tax relief. |
