Law Society Conveyancing Protocol A protocol setting out the Law Society’s preferred practice in residential conveyancing transactions. Its use is compulsory for solicitors accredited under the Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme, and in practice it is used for the vast majority of residential conveyancing transactions. The protocol sets out a framework of steps that should be followed when transferring residential freehold or leasehold land. The Standard Conditions of Sale will be used in forming the contract of sale, and the Law Society has produced a number of standard forms to assist in the conveyancing process. |
