Legal Ombudsman A free service that investigates complaints against lawyers in England and Wales. Operational since 2010, it was established under the Legal Services Act 2007 as a replacement for the Legal Complaints Service and Legal Services Ombudsman. Unlike its predecessor bodies, it is a lay organization and a lawyer can not occupy the role of Chief Ombudsman. Its remit is restricted to issues relating to quality of service, as opposed to the quality of legal advice given. https://www.legalombudsman.org.uk/ • Website of the Legal Ombudsman |
