NHS England
An independent body within the National Health Service whose role is to oversee the operation of, and to allocate resources to, the Clinical Commissioning Groups; to commission primary care and specialist services; and to provide national leadership for improving outcomes and driving up the quality of care. It was established as the NHS Commissioning Board in October 2012. See also Public Health England. |
