Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) A government body established in 2005 to provide a wide range of services relating to the finding, reuse, and trading of public sector information. In particular, it maintains the government’s Information Asset Register. The Office has a lead role in implementing the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the EU’s Public Sector Information Directive (2003), which is part of retained EU law. Together with Her Majesty’s Stationery Office (HMSO), it now operates from within the National Archives. |
