Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) A former body corporate established under the Serious Organized Crime Agency and Police Act 2005 to replace the National Crime Squad, the National Criminal Intelligence Service, and the investigative and enforcement arm of the Customs and Excise. Its role was to prevent, detect, and prosecute serious organized crime in the UK. SOCA was replaced by a new National Crime Agency (NCA) in 2013. |
