| 释义 | 精神病 A condition which seriously impairs, either temporarily or permanently, the mental functioning of a person and is characterised by the presence in the person of any one or more of the following: delusions, hallucinations, serious disorder of thought form, severe disturbance of mood, sustained or repeated irrational behaviour indicating one or more of the above symptoms. Mental illness is within the definition of ‘mental disorder’ under the Mental Health Ordinance, which means a state of arrested or incomplete development of mind which amounts to a significant impairment of intelligence and social functioning which is associated with abnormally aggressive or seriously irresponsible conduct on the part of the person concerned, psychopathic disorder or any other disorder or disability of mind which does not amount to mental handicap: Mental Health Ordinance (Cap 136) s 2.
