administrative receiver
A receiver who, under the terms of a debenture secured by floating charge, takes control of all (or substantially all) of a company’s assets. Subject to certain exceptions, an administrative receiver cannot be appointed by the holder of a floating charge in respect of any floating charge created after 15 September 2003 (in accordance with the Insolvency Act 1986, as amended by the Enterprise Act 2002).
