framework agreement 1. An agreement between two parties that recognizes that there is not yet a final agreement on all matters relevant to the relationship between them, but that they have agreed on enough matters to move forward with the relationship, with further details to be agreed to in the future. 2. An overall procurement agreement with suppliers that forms the framework under which individual contracts can made for the duration of the agreement. The framework agreement is considered as a contract if it includes an obligation to purchase. It can be made with a single supplier or with multiple suppliers. |
