释义 |
introductory tenancy A tenancy granted by a local authority or housing action trust that is intended as a probationary tenancy for 12 months. This will not be a secure tenancy until the end of the 12 months. The local authority may also extend the introductory tenancy by a further six months if there are continuing doubts as to the conduct of the tenancy. If the landlord wishes to seek possession during the introductory tenancy, he must serve notice on the tenant, who has 14 days to seek a review. After the review has been completed, the landlord must notify the tenant of the decision and give reasons if the decision to evict stands. Compare starter tenancy. |
