citator n. A publication, such as the Law Reports Index or the All England Law Reports Consolidated Tables and Index, Table volume, that enables lawyers and law students to find the status of a case in the light of subsequent cases: that is, whether it has been followed, distinguished, applied, etc. and if so, by which cases. This process can now be undertaken using electronic media such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. |
