释义	jus quaesitum tertio [Latin: right acquired by a third party] The general rule that a contract cannot confer rights on a third party: only a party to a contract can sue on it. This rule is now subject to statutory exceptions, principally those created by the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
