释义	建築守則 A set of technical standards or codes of practice for the design and construction of buildings and other structures. Generally, they do not have statutory effect, although a party may be required by contract to design or to provide materials and/or services in accordance with certain codes. In Hong Kong, building codes published by the British Standards Institute are widely used in the construction industry. Hong Kong also has its own codes published by various government departments such as the Building Department to cover aspects of building design which are peculiar to Hong Kong such as wind design. 建築物及其他構築物在設計和建造上的技術標準或實務守則。概括而言，儘管可憑藉合約，規定締約的一方須按照若干守則設計或提供物料及/或服務，但這守則沒有法規的效力。在香港，建造業人士廣泛採用英國標準協會出版的建築守則。香港政府各部門例如屋宇署也有出版有關的守則，內容涵蓋富香港色彩的建築設計，例如風力設計。
