释义 | 附屬的特免 In defamation law, the privilege afforded to incidental communications between the defendant and employees involved in the mechanical production of the published matter, such as secretaries and telephonists, if it is reasonable and in the usual course of business: Osborn v Thomas Bouter & Son [1930] 2 KB 226 (CA). Ancillary privilege only arises in cases where the communication to person towards whom it is ultimately directed is itself privileged in defamation law: Bryanston Finance Ltd & Ors v de Vries & Anor [1975] 2 All ER 609, QB 703 (CA).
