| 释义 | 專業進修 Abbr – CPD. A course, lecture, seminar or other programme or method of study (whether requiring attendance or not) that is relevant to the needs and professional standards of solicitors, and which enhances the professional competence of solicitors and complies with the guidance issued by the Law Society of Hong Kong on the continuing professional development scheme: Continuing Professional Development Rules (Cap 159W) s 2. The Law Society has instituted a mandatory continuing professional development scheme which is a system of continuing legal education for trainee solicitors and solicitors. Under the scheme, a trainee solicitor and a solicitor to whom the rules apply must accumulate certain number of accreditation points through attending the course, lecture, seminar, programme or method of study mentioned above for each practice year. The Law Society can refuse to issue a practising certificate or the court may not admit an applicant as a solicitor if he or she has not complied with the continuing professional development requirements. See also ALE Programme; Practising certificate. 縮寫 – CPD 一項與律師的需要及專業水準有關，提高專業才能並符合律師會依據第5(3)條不時發出的指引的課程、講座、研討會或其他研習計劃或方法(不論是否需要出席)：《專業進修規則》（第159W章）第2條。香港律師會為實習律師及律師訂立強制性專業進修。根據該計劃，有關規則適用的實習律師及律師必須透過到場參加上述課程、講座、研討會或研習計劃或方法於每執業年度累積若干數目的評審學分。若某申請人不遵從專業進修的規定，則香港律師會可拒絕發出執業證書，或法庭可不認許該申請人作為律師。另見 ALE Programme; Practising certificate。 |
