释义 | 吞併 The incorporation into a state’s territory by that state of territory that belongs to another state or that is independent, unclaimed or under protectorate. Annexation commonly follows victory in war or conflict. A proclamation of annexation alone is not sufficient; there must also be defeat of the former state or renunciation of the territory by the surrendering state, and recognition by other states of the annexation.
