文意上的真實性 A defence to an action in defamation where the defendant asserts that a defamatory matter for which he or she would otherwise be liable did not further injure a plaintiff’s reputation because of the existence of a damning and truthful imputation published at the same time: McPherson v Daniels (1829) 10 B & C 263.
