释义 | 罷工 The cessation of work by a body of persons employed acting in combination, or a concerted refusal, or a refusal under a common understanding, of any number of persons employed, to continue to work for an employer in consequence of a dispute, done as a means of compelling their employer or the employer of any other person or body of persons, or any person or body of persons employed, to accept or not to accept terms or conditions of or affecting employment: Trade Union Ordinance (Cap 332) s 2. Although the strike action usually means complete stoppage of work, it may at times be used to describe working other than as required, or adopting a practice or strategem that restricts, limits or delays the performance of work or the product of work. The right to strike of Hong Kong residents is guaranteed under the Basic Law s 27.
