Council of the Inns of Court A body, comprising representatives of the four Inns of Court, that meets with the Bar Council and the Bar Standards Board to formulate and coordinate policy for the profession. When the Council of the Inns of Court and Bar Council disagree, the latter’s policy is implemented if it has the support of two-thirds of the members of the bar. The Council also convenes panels to deal with disciplinary matters involving barristers. |
