equal treatment
The requirement, enshrined in the treaties of the European Union, that nationals of one EU state moving to work in another EU state must be treated in the same way as those workers of the state to which they have moved. Amongst member states of the EU, there must be free movement of workers and no discrimination in relation to pay, social security, and tax benefits. See also equal pay. |
