plight and condition If it appears from the state of a will that another document may have been attached (e.g. there are pin holes or marks from a paperclip) or there is evidence to suggest an attempt to revoke the will (e.g. there are signs of burning or tearing) then an affidavit of plight and condition may be required before a grant or representation is issued. Such an affidavit would be signed by a person with knowledge of the condition of the will when it was made or found, or by another person able to provide evidence as to the reason for the state and condition of the will. |
