Remains |
The dead body or part thereof of any human being or any still-born child; ashes resulting from the cremation thereof are excluded from the definition: Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Cap 132) s 2; Re Kerr [1894] P 284. The jurisdiction of the coroner arises from the fact that there is a dead body in Hong Kong. Although no difficulty arises in respect of a complete body it may be necessary to determine whether body parts constitute a body and if the parts are sufficient for the jurisdiction of the coroner to arise. See also Death; Right to possession of body. Death; Right to possession of body。n. |
