| 释义 | 福利 In relation to a child, the custody and education of the child and financial provision for him: Matrimonial Proceedings and Property Ordinance (Cap 192) s 18(6). The principle in all litigation relating to children that the court must have regard to the best interest of the child. The welfare of the child is of overwhelming importance in any proceedings concerning children. In any proceedings before any court, the court shall regard the welfare of the minor as the first and paramount consideration: Guardianship of Minors Ordinance (Cap 13) s 3(1). No decree absolute of divorce may be granted unless the court declared that it is satisfied with the arrangements that have been made for the care of the children of the family and are satisfactory or are the best that can be devised in the circumstances: Matrimonial Proceedings and Property Ordinance (Cap 192) s 18(1).
