释义	選擇法律 The method used to resolve the question of which law should govern a dispute where more than one jurisdiction is involved. Choice of law clauses: Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap 71) s 17; Unconscionable Contract Ordinance (Cap 458) s 7. When required to determine the choice of law, the courts must now assume, in the absence of proof to the contrary, that all persons who conduct their affairs in Hong Kong or deal with properties in Hong Kong prefer to follow modern Hong Kong law: Re Estate of Lau Sai Iat [1999] 2 HKC 433.
