| 释义 | 意外保險 A form of insurance which provides not an indemnity but a payment on a contingent event (that is, an accident). The insurer undertakes liability to the insured under the policy in respect of personal accidents, disease, or sickness: Marcel Beller Ltd v Hayden [1978] 3 All ER 111, QB 694. The sum to be paid is stated in the policy.
